Solid Pahoehoe Lava, Volcanoes National Park
A pahoehoe lava flow somewhat resembles a fan in a lava field in Volcanoes National Park, Hawaii. Pahoehoe is the hottest and most liquid form of lava, and is characterized by its smooth, often ropy appearance.
