In infrared photography, all the
colors of light visible to the human eye are blocked by a filter,
allowing just the infrared light to reach the film or digital
sensor. That light is then converted into
- in these examples
- black and white. The results can be
dramatic. Leaves and clouds, which reflect much infrared light, seem
to glow; still water, which doesn't, becomes black or transparent. |
