Described as the most impressive peak in
Alberta, Canada's Jasper National Park, Mount Edith Cavell
is named for a British nurse who was executed for treason after
helping prisoners-of-war escape from Germany during World War I.
The peak is more than 11,000 feet tall and is also known as the
"White Ghost," since it's one of the few peaks in the park that
remains snow-covered year-round. (More
