Rhyolite, Nevada was a thriving town for all of eight years. The town came to life in 1905 as the result of a gold strike, and by 1912 the boom was over. The town once had 50 mines, 53 saloons and 10,000 residents. The third-floor window from the old Cook Bank frames the Nevada landscape.
