Golden Jelly Cone

Golden Jelly Cone (Guepiniopsis alpinus)

Numerous Golden Jelly Cone (Guepiniopsis alpinus) grow on a decaying log on Rampart Ridge in Mount Rainier National Park. This species of fungus is abundant during the spring snow melt and attaches itself to cracks in dead coniferous wood. Golden Jelly Cone is found in the Cascade and Rocky mountains. (More Mt.
