Hoarfrost on Leaf
The edge of a fallen leaf is lined with hoarfrost. Hoarfrost is a type of ice that forms directly on very cold objects, often tree branches and leaves. It was 16 degrees Fahrenheit when this image was captured near Darrington, Washington.
