Dramatic nature photography that captures a living wilderness. By Kevin Ebi.
Five Waterfalls, Glacier National Park, Montana
Numerous small creeks combine in this dramatic seasonal waterfall near the Continental Divide above Logan Pass in Glacier National Park, Montana. This location is commonly referred to as "Double Falls" or "Triple Falls" due to famous photographs of just a portion of this creek. Several peaks, including Mount Gould and Mount Siyeh, are in the background.
Notes from the field
This wasn't my first, second or even third attempt to photograph these waterfalls. They are small, seasonal waterfalls, so they can be buried under several feet of snow one week and practically dry a few weeks later. This image came after an all-night drive when I thought the conditions would be "just right." I've been back a few times since and have never again seen these waterfalls so lovely. |
