Otter Falls races down relatively
smooth granite into Lipsy Lake. No otters live here; the falls
were presumably named for the fact that otters might enjoy the
natural slide. Otter Falls is estimated at 1,600 feet
tall, though only the bottom few hundred feet are visible here. The
falls, located east of North Bend, Washington, is typically dry by
mid-summer. |
