Upper Mesa Falls, located on the Henry fork of the Snake River, plunges 114 feet into the huge basin below as a vibrant rainbow traces its form. Threatened by development from a power company in the early 1980s, the waterfall has been preserved — the last major waterfall of any significance in Idaho to remain in its original state.
