Roosevelt Elk (Cervus canadensis roosevelti)
 

Roosevelt Elk (Cervus canadensis roosevelti) feed on grasses south of South Bend, Washington. Olympic National Park was created largely to protect the Roosevelt Elk, a native species found only west of the Cascades.
