Thousands and thousands of shorebirds feed in the mudflats of the Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge at sunrise. Hundreds of thousands of shorebirds, including dunlin and western sandpipers, congregate on the muddy tideflats each spring to feed as they migrate north.
