Western Sandpipers, Grays Harbor
Thousands of Western Sandpipers (Calidris mauri) fly in formation over the mud flats of Bowerman Basin. Tens of thousands of shorebirds briefly stop in Grays Harbor, Washington each spring to feed for their long journey north.
