Western Sandpipers at Sunrise, Grays Harbor
Thousands of Western Sandpipers (Calidris mauri) fly over the golden waters of Grays Harbor shortly after sunrise. Tens of thousands of shorebirds make a brief stop in Grays Harbor each spring to feed and continue their long journey north.
