Étretat, Normandy, France
The white cliffs of Étretat have inspired artists for more than 150 years. Impressionist painter Claude Monet painted them dozens of times over his career. Manneporte is the largest of the arches in the 300-foot-tall cliffs. Golden sunlight shining through holes in approaching storm clouds adds to its majesty.
